I hope to see the opposite, that the "soft" technology of the future will improve the quality of doctor-patient relationships through more timely, frequent and accurate communication. "Warmth, compassion, hope and optimism" can often give what the best technology cannot because we are all human beings who respond best to love even when all else fails.
